This past legislative session, the Colorado State Legislature passed a public health insurance plan that will drastically increase health care costs for Colorado’s Hispanic community and families while also placing a heavy burden on our hospitals.
Colorado HB21-1232, the Standardized Health Benefit Plan Colorado Option will, among other things require health insurance companies to offer a highly regulated, standardized health care plan as part of the health insurance marketplace.
However, a key group of lawmakers took leadership roles in opposing this proposal and stood up to protect Colorado families.
These lawmakers are:
Rep. McKean – HD51
Rep. Soper – HD54
Sen. Kirkmeyer – SD23
Sen. Smallwood – SD4
Sign the letter to thank these lawmakers for their principled leadership in protecting Colorado families and empowering them to make their own health care decisions!
