The many disruptions to their education have impacted families, students and teachers alike. These unprecedented changes to our education system and our lives brought about by the pandemic have undoubtedly impacted students’ learning. While every family confronted these changes differently, they confronted them together.
It's clear that our families are best positioned to assess the impact of the past year and the disruption in learning caused by the pandemic.
North Carolina’s lawmakers should expand and support the Student Success Program (HB 934) to be universal, so all families can be empowered to identify programs, interventions, and services that best meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of individual children.
