This bill is smart on crime and soft on taxpayer wallets
I’m writing in support SB 346 and asking for your vote in favor of this common-sense bill.
This bill is a great step in creating a smart on crime, soft on taxpayer criminal justice system here in Florida.
SB 346 would provide courts the needed discretion to rule on certain non-violent offenses without the harsh and restrictive guidelines of mandatory minimums. SB 346 would give courts greater flexibility to rule on certain cases outside those rigid mandatory sentences when the facts warrant it and help keep non-violent offenders from staying in prison longer than necessary for accountability and rehabilitation. This would also save taxpayers from the financial burden of overcrowded prisons.
I hope I can count on you to continue making Florida the leader in criminal justice reform by supporting SB 346.
